This book sounds like it has a lot going on! Imagine being told you are not the teacher, she had to be pretty gutsy. Sounds like a good story.

Maria, I think I’d have to read a bit more before deciding. Hope you like this one.

Just from the blurb, I am curious about this one. I think I might like it. A female teacher is just as good as a male one, Mr. Updegraff! I also like the opening lines you shared. I can’t help but wonder what will happen next.

Fascinating excerpts, and now I want to know more…what happens? Who is tracking her? Thanks for sharing…and here’s mine: “SOMEWHERE OUT THERE”

I’ve heard good things about Jody Hedlund’s books although I’ve never read one. I like the opening, so I’d keep reading!

Yes, I’d keep reading to see how she fares. Like the beginning!

When I read about a serious novel, Christian fiction or not, I always think of East of Eden by Steinbeck. I would really enjoy this one. Jody Hedlund is a good author.
