I saw this tag over at Sarah’s Chapter and of course I wanted to have my own fun with it! So here goes!
1♡: What book have you been unable to finish?
I usually try to finish every book I read, but sometimes I either don’t have the will to finish if it’s boring or I quit because I really just do not like the story/have no desire to see if it gets better further into the book. A really popular book The Winner’s Curse is an example of this. I only got 50 pages in and set it aside for something else. I have plans to give that book and all the others after it another chance simply because it is a very popular series. I may change my opinion on the book, who knows.
What book have you yet to read because:
2♡: You just haven’t had the time?
-gestures to all five books shelves and the tablet- Too many, but to pick one I would have to say Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge. I wanted it pretty badly and I’ve had it for a long time now. Admired with the eyes that lovely cover, but not with the mind as of yet.
3♡: It’s a sequel?
The one that comes to mind is Haze by Paula Weston. It’s all angels and demons, which I love with a passion, but my view on this series so far is iffy at best.
4♡: It’s brand new?
I have about three ARCs, if they count, that I still need to get to. One in particular is My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix.
5♡: You read a book by the same author and didn’t enjoy it?
Hmm..I honestly can’t think of any besides Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard. Red Queen was okay. With all the ridiculous hype, I just want to see if it’s worse than the previous book. I don’t own the book and I might eventually see if the library has it.
6♡: You’re just not in the mood for it?
Probably any of the contemporary books that I own, which is maybe less than five. Not really my thing.
7♡: It’s humongous?
The Diviners by Libba Bray. It’s not that daunting, but it was a recent buy and I’m kind of skeptical about it right now. I know it’s popular, but I’ll have to see if I like it or not.
8♡: Because it was a cover buy that turned out to have poor reviews?
Teardrop by Lauren Kate. I’ve seen negative reviews on Goodreads, but I take reviews with a handful of salt because I’ve loved books that other people hated to shreds. It’s not something I plan on reading too soon, but I still will anyway.
9♡: What is the most intimidating book in your TBR pile?
I don’t feel like any of them are on their own. Just them collectively reminding me I haven’t read them yet is all the intimidation needed.
10♡: Who do you tag?
All the people and non-people beings who wish to do this.
