1. What is the last book you marked as “read?”
This was the last book I’ve finished. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
2. What are you currently reading?
I’m about 120 pages into this so far. Pretty interesting, but I expect that from Ladd.
3. What was the last book you marked as “to read?”
Tamer of Horses by Amalia Carosella
There is yet to be a cover for this book, since it comes out in October. I enjoyed reading two other books by Amalia, so I’m excited to get my hands on this book.
4. What book do you plan on reading next?
I enjoyed the first book pretty well and can’t wait to continue to see how everything unfolds.
5. Do you use the star rating system?
Yes, I do. I still find it hard sometimes since some four star reads are better than others.
6. Are you doing the 2016 reading challenge?
I am and sadly I am very behind. Make that exactly 20 books behind. It seems like even as I finish a book I still keep falling short.
7. Do you have a wishlist?
I do, but it’s pretty much useless and I don’t really add anything more to it.
8. What book do you plan on buying next?
I’m interested to see what happens next and I’ve got my eye on a cheap used copy. So soon-ish.
9. What is your favorite quote?
I have don’t a favorite quote, but here are some nice ones:
“My books promised me that life wasn’t just made up of workday tasks and prosaic things. The world is bigger and more colorful and more important than that.” -Laura Amy Schlitz
“My library was — all libraries are — a place of ultimate refuge, a wild and sacred space where meanings are manageable precisely because they aren’t binding; and where illusion is comfortingly real.” -Andre Brink
10. Who are your favorite authors?
Sarah E. Ladd, Kiera Cass, Phillipa Gregory, Robin LaFevers, Stephenie Meyer, Samantha Shannon, Sara B. Larson, and many others. While I do have a lot of favorite authors, I typically read what sounds interesting and not necessarily because it’s written by a particular person.
